Cannot connect to smb shares after upgrading macOS server from El Capitan to Mojave - Heinrich23 - 2023-01-20 Hi all, I am using latest Kodi (Nexus) on an Android tv box. It was working perfectly until I upgraded my server from El Capitan to Mojave. Now i cannot connect to the server's smb shares anymore. I get error "Operation not permitted". Other apps ("Perfect Viewer" on Android or "FilebrowserGo" on IOS) connect just fine, so the server should be ok. Sorry if this has been asked before, but the search function did not show anything related. Thanks for your help, Heinrich RE: Cannot connect to smb shares after upgrading macOS server from El Capitan to Mojave - izprtxqkft - 2023-01-20 does this solve your issues? https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=371331&pid=3132727#pid3132727 RE: Cannot connect to smb shares after upgrading macOS server from El Capitan to Mojave - Klojum - 2023-01-20 (2023-01-20, 15:34)Heinrich23 Wrote: so the server should be ok Which SMB version(s) are your using? Perhaps you need to adjust the min/max SMB version setting in Kodi. RE: Cannot connect to smb shares after upgrading macOS server from El Capitan to Mojave - Heinrich23 - 2023-01-21 I set min smb version to 1 and max to 3, which did not change anything. Meanwhile I realised that the other apps that I mentioned use username/password for accessing the server. After doing the same in Kodi, it worked. With the old El Capitan server I could connect and browse w/o user/pass which was quite handy, because specifying the data using the remote and virtual KB is a PITA. But I only had to do it once and it's ok for me now. Anyway, good to hear it now works. Cannot connect to smb shares after upgrading macOS server from El Capitan to Mojave - Klojum - 2023-01-21 Thread marked solved. |
