You need to delete the tv show from your library first. Press Del on your keyboard or Context Menu►Manage►Remove from library.

The Team Kodi folks can likely explain the best process to use when deleting content from your library.  Here's a link to a forum which discusses a tool I have been creating to assist with these types of issues.  The tool is in beta but the users have been happy with it so far.  The best link to download it is here and the Wiki page for how it works is here.
