Quick question about naming "Source Folders" - CheapSweetLife - 2023-05-20 It shows on the wiki when it comes to "source Folders" there is "Movies A-K" and also "Movies SciFi" can I do something like "Comedy Specials" that have a mixed grouping. Movies flash drive would look like this: Comedy Specials > Movies from Jeff Dunham, Gabriel Iglesias, Robin Williams Disney > Disney movies like Cruella and a few other movies Pitch Perfect > only pitch perfect Movies Would naming the folders like this work? I'm still pretty new to this so I was just wondering. Plus I plan to name each flash drive so I can better keep a eye on what is on what drive. I plan to name this one "Funny Movies" or something like that. So I pan to only put funny movies on this I hope this makes sense if this will not work please tell me how to keep these movies on here and how I need to better organize them. Thank You! RE: Quick question about naming "Source Folders" - PatK - 2023-05-20 Ensure that TV shows are not intertwined or mixed with movies (the sources use different scrapers). If you are using 'windows' that you set a specific name & drive letter starting from the end of the alphabet, as windows will auto-assign letters via musical chairs an in that process will invalidate the source path excluding content. Adding video sources (wiki). Keep each source (drive) a different letter & name that reflects the letter, then when you plug the new source in, check to ensure the letter & name match, otherwise the library paths will not match. I don't see any big issue with your naming suggestions, if you are going to subdivide Comedy Specials into various categories, ensure the scraper is set to scan recursively (scrapes sub folders). Cleaning the library may be somewhat cumbersome, as it will only effect drives online, unplugged drive meta-data will be offered an opportunity to clear... You must deny this.
