strange issues with autoplay - Asiago - 2023-06-06

When I attempt to play tv show files, it works fine for the first episode or two, but then something difficult to describe happens and I havent found anything searching online.

Sometimes the video will start with no audio. It will play for about 15 seconds and then freeze. It stays frozen for a while and then the audio comes in when the video starts playing again.

The audio plays pitched up, however. It also will periodically cut out for a half second. I can only assume its because the audio is being sped up while the video is playing at normal speed, so it the audio has to periodically "catch up."

Ive read your forum and the rules and understand that piracy is not supported, however I suffered a flood in my house back in 2010 and lost my entire physical media library, so I used a private tracker to download digital versions of what I lost. I sincerely hope the staff here can make an exception and provide some advice because I am in love with your software.

Thanks for your time,

offtopic

if your media library was copied from physical discs you own (not pirated) wouldn't insurance have paid you to replace those discs and being 2010 you would have had 13 years to repurchase those discs and make new copies

unless you are also suggesting instead of using the money you were paid to replace the items which were insured you used it for something else and replaced your collection for free with pirated copies which would not only be piracy but also insurance fraud

/offtopic

i have nothing constructive, im just curious

I honestly have no idea what happened or if there was any insurance at all. i was on the other side of the country living with my dad when my mother sold the house and moved to colorado with my abusive stepfather so you'll have to ask them what happened to the money, or if there even was any.

Its not nice to make assumptions.

I lost an entire library of rare collectible ps2 and SNES games in that flood too. I grew up on the east coast, new york. Prime territory for limited english runs of japanese games.

I never saw any of it again after I moved out of that house, senior year of high school.

Man now im really sad.

Sorry to double post but I wanted to bump the thread to see if anyone might have any ideas.

It happens with music video playlists as well, and I doenloaded those from youtube with a legal tool.

I really dont think the acquisition of the files has any effect on the issue.

If it prevents me from getting any technical help thats fine, but I would very much appreciate it being said here so that I know for sure. Thanks guys

Man what a warm welcome. I get one guy asking if I'm committing insurance fraud and seemingly ghosted by the rest of the community. . .

Man I just wanted to binge through some old cartoons without issues. :/

You need to provide a Debug Log that captures the issue.
You haven't given any information, like your hardware, operating system, Kodi version etc, so its no wonder people have read it and moved on. There is nothing to work with.
