When I try to install an addon from zip, I can only see music, pictures, and videos from my home folder. Where are all the other folders?

maybe you installed kodi from flatpak? Flatpak restricts access and stores data in a different location.
This will grant full access to the home directory.

sudo flatpak override --filesystem=/home/$USER tv.kodi.Kodi

Actually thet didn't work. But I did discover flatseal for managing perms if anyone needed to know. Helped lol
