Can't get DV to work in V21 Nightly - DVornotDV - 2023-07-30
I'm on a Windows 10 PC and my monitor is a standard HDR capable Samsung TV. I'm trying to play back a DV video in MKV format on V21 nightly build as I was told that it supported DV (not sure about supporting MKV though). Anyway it doesn't work and I don't know enough about it to figure out why. So first, is DV playback supported from MKV video? And second do I need a special monitor or anything like that to make it work even if it is supported by Kodi? Or any other suggestions please.

Oh, I should have said it doesn't work because although it plays back the video it is the usual wrong purple and green colours so it hasn't been decoded properly it seems.

Also I just realised the DV video I'm experimenting with is actually mp4 not MKV so it's not that then.

Ok thanks for that. So would I be right in summarising it as DV only works in very limited situations with KODI and definitely not on Windows?
