Bug: 1080i MPEG-2 HD files from Tivo are choppy - AbMagFab - 2008-09-19
Might be related to the AC3 audio issue, but 1080i content from Tivo (e.g., from HBOHD, CinemaxHD, Starz HD, etc.), play pretty choppy. CPU is at around 30%, and all network cache settings are at 16MB.
