Too much involved to sync your YouTube account in Kodi. Any R rated trailers just won't play unless you're signed in. Yes right now what I do which kind of works is I have a widget that uses TMDBHelper and it's Upcoming Movies directory. It kind of works, and anything major that gets a new trailer will show up, but there's a lot of noise with foreign movies and re-releases of old movies. Having an endpoint in TMDB API dedicated to trailers would be amazing But just to clarify, this would still be relying on Youtube, it's just to get the list of movies that have a latest trailer. If you just want Youtube for trailers, maybe try an addon called Youtube for Trailers. https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=375016 I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds like it would solve some of the issues by streamlining. Only issue is you can't have that and Youtube official addon installed at the same time |
