I will install Kodi v. 20.x and also run it in portable mode. Can I copy the portable_data folder from v. 19.5 to v. 20.x? What about from v. 19.5 to v. 21.x? Yes, assuming all paths to media are unchanged. You might have some addons set as disabled, including skins. Your library databases will be used to create new ones using v20 or v21 schema. Some entries in advancedsettings.xml may not work the same as in older Kodi versions. scott s. . It's how I do all my installs, I will copy Portable Data folder to new install, and the database will be upgraded if required on first run. |
