certain settings should not be skin-dependent - CalebChambers - 2024-06-26 Sort of a rant. Some of the obvious media settings should not be skin dependent like. allowing the user to see the certifications of media. (MPAA ratings)Without having to go to video information. (Extra steps are meaningless) Time remaining instead of time duration of whatever is being viewed on the seekbar and the on-screen display.. Why would I want to know the total time of the movie/tvshow while I am watching it.. (I do not want to have to edit the XML files every time the skin updates)... Put both of the options under media in the kodi system settings. So that way every skin will have those two options.. (most important one is the time remaining) RE: certain settings should not be skin-dependent - jjd-uk - 2024-06-26 Sorry but I don't see how this could possibly work. What to display and where is solely a skin choice. RE: certain settings should not be skin-dependent - CalebChambers - 2024-06-26 I get that. But at least the time remaining should be default. RE: certain settings should not be skin-dependent - jjd-uk - 2024-06-26 Most skins make a choice between displaying time remaining and showing the ends at time, as they normal only have space for one of them without overcrowding UI. I have a few older iterations that I don't update because of add-ons or skins and they work perfectly. |
