OSD missing button (subtitles) - oued - 2024-07-14
Hi
With this skin, and only this one, the OSD doesn't show a button to choose (or activate) subtitles.
All buttons are there, except this one. I can choose audio langage for example.
I'm on a Nvidia Shield, Android 11, Shield experience 9.1.1, Kodinerds 22 (installed yesterday, after having used Kodinerds 21 for some years).
I disabled joystick (as suggested by some on reddit).
I tried other skins : the button (either to toggle or choose from a list) is there.
The problem is that Aeon Nox : Silvo is by far my favorite skin.
Anyone can help ? That would be very nice

Hi again, button suddenly appeared, although I have done nothing.
I opened many of the xml files but didn't do any change in any of them.
I would like to understand, out of pure curiosity...

So I finally understood what I did to "solve" the problem : I wanted to avoid the shield to go in sleep mode and launched a video. It was a 4:3 video.
I thought I needed the shield to be "up and running", but it was incorrect, even in sleeping mode I can access its internal memory from my pc (but I did not know that yet).
When I finally gave up to modify any of the xml files of the aeon nox skin, I went back to the shield and checked with the remote control : the subtitles button was there.
Then I went to a 16:9 video : button was there too.
Problem solved ?
No
Every time I switch off the shield and switch on again, button disappears.
So I have to launch the 4:3 video and then it re-appears until switch off/on the shield.
So I have this work around, but I'd like to solve the problem for real

Hi
For me on v22.0-ALPHA1 (20240806-31b16750ae) on webos the button for Subtitle Settings (e.g. to select subtitle or change delay) when playing a video (in OSD) is missing. Maybe it's a bug that need to be solved in V22?

Did you try to read a 4:3 video ?
