Ignore .nomedia - rahaaatul - 2024-08-06 I added `.nomedia` to every folder that contain video files because they pollute my album app. Kodi's saying: Code: Skipping item ... with '.nomedia' file in parent directory, it won't be added to the library. Okay, cool. How do I turn it off? RE: Ignore .nomedia - Sidewinder_2011 - 2024-08-06 Delete the .nomedia file RE: Ignore .nomedia - rahaaatul - 2024-08-07 (2024-08-06, 23:42)Sidewinder_2011 Wrote: Delete the .nomedia file You may have missed the part where I explained why I don't want to do that. RE: Ignore .nomedia - Sidewinder_2011 - 2024-08-07 @rahaaatul I know why you want it, but in the next part you say how to turn it off , do u want it on or off ?can't have both. Why keep videos with your albums, keep them in different folder then they won't be in your album app RE: Ignore .nomedia - rahaaatul - 2024-08-17 (2024-08-07, 02:21)Sidewinder_2011 Wrote: I know why you want it, but in the next part you say how to turn it off , do u want it on or off ?can't have both.I want to turn the option off in Kodi. A gallery app displays all media files whether it's photo or video. Anyways, I found a workaround. Instead of putting .nomedia in every folder, I've created a new folder starting with a dot > .media. Then I've placed my media folders like movies, shows, music videos, music inΒ .media folder like this: Code:
And then in Kodi I've set .media as a source. This hides the folder from normal file manager/media apps. But let's me access the media files in Kodi. |
