Same actor, different names - salamandrax01 - 2024-08-30
Hello all,
I have seen that I have two subsets of movies on Kodi in which an actor appears. This is because this actor appears twice, but with slightly different names (notice the last e)

- Gian Maria Volontè
How can this be fixed?

To fix it, you will need to rescrape the movie, or use nfo files and ensure the actor has the correct spelling. There is no "in Kodi" way to edit this.

There are different spellings for this name depending on the site:
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0002231/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_2_nm_6_in_0_q_gian%2520maria -- Gian Maria Volontè (1933-1994) - I have several movies with this spelling
https://www.themoviedb.org/person/14276-gian-maria-volonte?language=es -- Gian Maria Volonté (1933-1994) - I have only one movie with this spelling: "Le Cercle Rouge"
I tried to re-scraping configuring the UMS to get the actors from IMDB, but it is still the same. I tried to replace the name in the .nfo file it with the name as is in the .nfo file from "A Fistfull of Dollars" and the Kodi started rebooting. So, at last, I remove the file, cleaned library, uploaded again anr scraped again and all remains the same. So, I prefer to live with this (not a big issue) than break my kodi installation.
