Video playback freezes on operator Android TV box - mx77_2 - 2024-09-04
Hi! I received a new Android TV box from my TV operator and installed Kodi on it. It has a Broadcom chip and whenever I try to watch a movie via Kodi the playback usually starts fine, but after a couple of seconds or a minute, or at least when I seek or change chapter, the playback goes completely jerky and sometimes it continues if I just wait like 15 seconds or so, sometimes it just stays frozen but I can still hear the audio. I don't expect Kodi to support this device, but I was just interested if the log shows something that could be fixed via settings etc. I have tried H264 and H265 encoded videos, adjust refresh rate on and off, sync playback to display on and off (this seemed to work, but started to act up after a while), audio passthrough on and off...
