Memory consumption compared to v20 - The Grue - 2024-10-06

Hello there!

I'm using Kodi via OSMC for many years on a Raspberry. Since some years, on a Pi4 with 2GiB and I *really* like that solution Smile
With the latest update of OSMC, I got Kodi v21 and after the update, kodi kept restarting because the OOMK killed it. I added a swapfile (ugh) and found that Kodi 21 needs >3GiB memory on startup (and on other occasions). This was with vanilla kodi, no plugins installed.

I'm not complaining, but it would be nice to know if this is expected behaviour or a regression - or something else Big Grin

Using LibreELEC on 2 of my Pi4/2GB without any problems,
both with latest nightly (one with Kodi 21 & one with Kodi 22) .

I'm running Kodi 22 Git on a RPi3B with 1GB without issues. No swap, only zram enabled. Does everything without running into memory issues.
