digital tv shows - general79 - 2024-11-17 I have dvds of tv shows that i had put on the computer. For TV shows streaming on my media player, what would be the best out of all of these Color space SDR - Rec.709 HDR - Rec.2100HLG HDR - Rec.2100PQ RE: digial tv shows - Hitcher - 2024-11-17 DVD's are only SDR so... RE: digital tv shows - general79 - 2024-11-23 is there away that you can tell RE: digital tv shows - PatK - 2024-11-23 (2024-11-17, 05:40)general79 Wrote: shows streaming on my media playerSome media streamers can report the resolution (thinking of the fire stick) while the media itself may announce it's quality. RE: digital tv shows - Karellen - 2024-11-25 Like @PatK says, you can check the player. In Kodi you can check the Video Debug Info screen and the first line will give you that info, plus a lot more. https://kodi.wiki/view/Player_process_info#Video_Debug_Info RE: digital tv shows - general79 - 2024-11-25 When ripping my dvds on my PC using Wondershare uniConverter which i like, at that time i set the Output format settings and the video looked a little hazy looking. That was a few years ago. Here a few months ago, i re-ripped my dvds to upgrade everything from 720p 1080p, and this time the Output format, i left the video setting all on Auto and everything look great crisp video. But when i did so, i can look at some of my rip videos and you can notice them little squiggly like going horizontal across moving objects like people. So how can yo fix that issue. My TV is set tp 1080p RE: digital tv shows - Karellen - 2024-11-25 (2024-11-25, 07:39)general79 Wrote: When ripping my dvds on my PC using Wondershare uniConverterI've not heard of that program before. Are you using it just for ripping, or are you using the AI to improve the image? If you are ripping DVD's then try using MakeMKV, and see if the quality is any better... https://www.makemkv.com/ MakeMKV will just straight copy the streams and place them into an mkv container. No compressing. The ripped quality is exactly the quality on the disk. RE: digital tv shows - general79 - 2024-11-25 I'm good on that, the mp4 that i put my videos on is good, since they rip from the same source as the dvd looks. The problem here is, them squiggly lines the appears horizontal when a object or people be moving in the video causing the squiggly lines to appear, is there anyway to fix that. Some of my MP4s is good not any squiggly line just a good video, but there other videos that appears in moving objects. Maybe it is a low bitrate artifact. RE: digital tv shows - general79 - 2024-11-25 sure. https://ezgif.com/image-to-datauri/ezgif-6-e705264a29.png RE: digital tv shows - Hitcher - 2024-11-25 That's interlacing. You need to use something that will de-interlace them as well. https://www.reddit.com/r/DataHoarder/comments/gfw0ue/dvd_ripping_deinterlacing_and_makemkv/ RE: digital tv shows - general79 - 2024-11-25 would that be from video bitrate? Since my TV is 1080p, will the video look different watching them in 1080p RE: digital tv shows - Karellen - 2024-11-25 (2024-11-25, 10:47)general79 Wrote: would that be from video bitrate? No. It is the way the video was created. It is an interlaced video, and the method used for television broadcasts and DVD's. Bluray uses Progressive video, so does not have the combing artefacts. What you need to do is deinterlace the video. But this means recoding your videos. I am surprised the software you are using does not do this for you. Kodi has settings for deinterlacing during playback, which are located in the video settings menu of playback. Also as an aside... I wouldn't be using mp4 as the video container. Use mkv as it is easier to edit and maintain. RE: digital tv shows - general79 - 2024-11-26 Ok, a few years ago, when i started ripping my DVD to the computer, everything looked good on squiggly lines at all. But now, I'm re-ripping the DVDs and this time a left the setting on auto so it would just copy the same source as the dvds https://ezgif.com/image-to-datauri/ezgif-7-5c63e8e288.png RE: digital tv shows - Karellen - 2024-11-26 (2024-11-26, 06:36)general79 Wrote: https://ezgif.com/image-to-datauri/ezgif...e8e288.pngI don't see any setting for interlacing, or any option for advanced settings / filters. You should see something like what is shown in the image... |
