Running KODI on Fire OS (android fork). Remote has no stop button. - blueribb - 2024-12-04 I successfully installed Kodi 21.1 on my Fire TV Cube. It runs a fork of Android called FireOS. Everything works fine but there is no STOP button on the Cube's Remote Control. I can pause movies, videos and music but not stop them. Pressing the back button allows me to navigate but the file is still in pause. I can't seem to find a remote control with a STOP button that will work with KODI and my Fire TV Cube. Any recommendations? RE: Running KODI on Fire OS (android fork). Remote has no stop button. - izprtxqkft - 2024-12-04 use the keymap editor addon to map the Back button to Stop in fullscreen video - https://kodi.tv/addons/omega/script.keymap/ RE: Running KODI on Fire OS (android fork). I wonder if I could remap one of the 4 special keys that I never use (prime, netflix, disney, hulu) RE: Running KODI on Fire OS (android fork). If I press the "back" button until I reach the home screen, I can then see the OSD controls for both music and videos but that takes multiple button presses just to stop a video or song. I use the Confluence Skin RE: Running KODI on Fire OS (android fork). Remote has no stop button. - MatteN - 2024-12-04 With almost all my devices Ok or center button brings up OSD. RE: Running KODI on Fire OS (android fork). Remote has no stop button. - MatteN - 2024-12-04 It works with LibreELEC and WeChip remote, Sony tv remote and OSMC remote. It works on android and Shield remote. It works with MCE remote on Win 11 & Win 10. RE: Running KODI on Fire OS (android fork). I just tried your suggestion, and it does bring up the player's OSD controls for videos but not for music. I can't stop a song unless I navigate back to the home screen. RE: Running KODI on Fire OS (android fork). Remote has no stop button. - MatteN - 2024-12-04 With android and music i have to press Left to get a Stop button. Same with LibreELEC, Left brings up a Stop button. RE: Running KODI on Fire OS (android fork). Remote has no stop button. - izprtxqkft - 2024-12-04 mapping the back button to operate as a Stop button is still the best use on this remote due to it's limited usable buttons correction on my first post: despite my previous post stating fullscreenvideo, this should be done in whichever section is for music i don't use kodi for music so i didn't think about it RE: Running KODI on Fire OS (android fork).
