Video playback stops after approx 2 minutes - starkman - 2024-12-04

Hi all !
So I had this issue and it was solved with the help of @izprtxqkft
https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=379596

Device: ONN 4K pro
OS: Android TV 12
Kodi version 21.1

But now I have another weird issue.
Every video file / movie I start playing, stops playing after almost 2 minutes and KODI brings me back to the files / movies index. So then I have to select it, and then resume it or start playing it again from the beginning.
Initially I thought it was the TRAKT add on that was causing the issue, as the playback was always stopping right before TRAKT's sync notification. But the issue persists even when I disable the TRAKT add on.

Any ideas regarding what's causing this ?

In case this issue has anything to do with the SMB settings:

SMBv1 is disabled at my Fritz!Box 4040 router:

And on KODI these are the SMB settings:
Minimum protocol version: none
Maximum protocol version: SMBv3
SMB chunk size: 128KB

p.s. I had no such issues with Kodi 20

Did some more test regarding the issue of the above posts.
I actually also did a fresh installation of KODI on my TV Box and I had the same issue even without adding any add-ons.

What actually seems to have worked so far is changing the Minimum protocol version (in the KODI settings): from none to SMBv2.
I have no idea how this could affect the playback issue, but for now it seems to work.
Will report back if anything new comes up.
