How to add metadata tags to movies when browsing movies - janoonk - 2024-12-08 Hi, when I browse my movie folders bottom right I see several tags like duration, video codec(for example "H.265"), nr of audio channels(for example "2.0"), resolution (for example "576 SD"), audio codec (MP3). Where does this information come from? And how can I add my own tags for each movie? I want to have the IMDB score and year of the movie. Thanks for any pointers. greetings RE: How to add metadata tags to movies when browsing movies - izprtxqkft - 2024-12-08 (2024-12-08, 19:40)janoonk Wrote: when I browse my movie folders most metadata isn't available in file view you need to create a video library for the sort of data you're looking for - https://kodi.wiki/view/Video_library RE: How to add metadata tags to movies when browsing movies - pkscout - 2024-12-08 (2024-12-08, 19:40)janoonk Wrote: Hi,The information about the video file (basically the ones you mentioned) comes from Kodi scanning the file to get some basic information. If you want things like IMDB ratings and the year of the movie, you need to, as mentioned above, use a scraper to get that data into the Kodi library. There is an included scraper that gets information from The Movie Database, and there is a setting in the scraper to get IMDB ratings in addition to or instead of the rating from The Movie Database site. |
