dvd labels - general79 - 2025-01-02

I had put labels on some dvds that i did years ago. Everything would be fine, i put the dvd in the player, but once that i eject the dvd from the player, the label started coming off.
So, how do you put a dvd label on that stays.

I would use a Sharpie marker and write on the disk.

i read somewhere online that a marker can eat through the disc and damage the data side

I have used markers for a long time back in the day. Never had any issue. I would not stick anything on there, would always keep the surface free of anything.

Not true

Exactly. Beside the label is a full label (in meaning as round as the disc itself, something like that: https://www.amazon.de/AVERY-Zweckform-L6015-25-CD-Etiketten-Zentrierhilfe/dp/B0002S4FWY/ref=sr_1_6?nsdOptOutParam=true&sr=8-6 ) I wouldn't put anything on the disc. By putting a simple label (like a sticker or something similar) on the disc, the disc drive itself could get out-of-balance during spinning which could damage the drive itself.

Print directly to the disc, of course.
