What to do when an issue is closed almost immediately for an existing, provable bug? - ashlar - 2025-01-11

I refer to this issue I opened: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/issues/26275

It points to a real bug, provable and repeatable. A dev has closed it stating that no additions or improvements were needed for cue files handling.

But, IMHO, this is not an improvement nor, surely, an addition. To be able to compute correctly the duration of the last track in an album is... basic stuff. That should just work.

I hate to complain, as I cannot code and I am always grateful to people that can and share their work with Kodi's users. But this doesn't seem right to me.

Discussing this with the developer on the issue's page. Still don't understand the reasoning behind closing it, instead of ignoring it.
It's not as if cue file support is being eliminated from Kodi and the bug is there.

EDIT: This can be closed...
