Stretch movies - Pete_London - 2009-05-29

Hi all,

How do I get rid of the letterbox effect and fill the screen with my movie?

Many thanks,

Pete

Zoom via the OSD (press M on the keyboard) if you want to keep the correct aspect ratio, or press Z to cycle through the various stretch modes.

Can it be forced to 'on' by default?

Pete

If you change it in the OSD it should be saved in the db for that path. I think using 'z' will do the same.

OK... so it saves it for that movie, but not as the default for the library... is there an XML file where I can set the default to Stretch 16:9?

There's an 'Set As Default For All Movies' option on the Video Settings screen via the OSD.

It's worth reading the manual.. http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=Videos#OSD_Video_Settings

That did it.... thanks all!
