this is quite possibly the worst question i have had to ask but i just seem to be at a loss here.
xbmc will not run, after following the advice in another thread and deleting the 0ace008 or whatever directories it still does not seem to run. i have tried running the .xbe file through various methods, either boxplorer or evox and from different directories (f:\apps\xbmc, c:\apps\xbmc, e:\xbmc), etc. i seem to think i have tried all possible solutions but it still refuses to load.
when launched from boxplorer it will just display a black screen, when launched from evox it will just display a loading screen and there does not seem to be any activity on the xbox.

if you edited the xboxmediacenter.xml already try it with the default xml again. maybe you messed something up in the file.

sorry for the trouble guys, it seems that the version of rar i had on my linux installation didn't want to preserve the directory structure. i thought it was a little strange that everything was in the one directory
