I`m not good i ubuntu og linux, but I want to use it as a normal PC as well.

I've run an Asus Intel Atom 330 (overclocked to 2.0GHz) on Windows7, however XBMC's internal player still couldn't play 1080p vids at that spec due to the player being a software decoder, and the Atom not having the guts to process the CPU load.
The way round it is to run an external player (search forum for info) that allows hardware acceleration, passing the CPU load to the graphics card.

Yes and No...
The cpu is not enough to decode hd content, you need to offload that to the gpu. Under linux that is supported in xbmc using vdpau. In windows that is not supported in xbmc, so you will need to use an external player.

What is that externel player? Can that load the GPU?

Yes, I use Media Player Classic Home Cinema as the external player with no issues.

I'm running XBMC Live on Windows, with the new low-power NVIDIA 210 graphics adapter, targeted towards HTPC's. Playing 1080p, and it looks great!
Best part is, these adapters are half-height (a must for HTPC's), very low power/cool, and you can pick them up for $39 at NewEgg!
However, no go for the Atom ION (to get a little more on-topic) in Windows, I concur.
