Is it possible to add buttons to the Library screen? - lozbrown85 - 2009-11-14 Hi All Is it possible to add items to the Library screen shown below? I would like to add a MythTv button here and potentially a iPlayer and internet streams buttons. If it is possible can anyone give me some clues how, or at least which files i would have to edit? I would like to do this for my Linux based media centre, the skin I'm using is obviously transparency but I'm not sure if this question is specific to any particular skin. Many Thanks - ronie - 2009-11-15 you can add buttons to the left menu (check MyVideoNav.xml), but you can't add items to the main panel. those icons are filed in by xbmc and can't be controlled from the skin. - lozbrown85 - 2009-11-15 Firstly thanks ronie for your help/time replying to me. Shame though, it seems like something that should be possible particularly as there seems to be spaces there. Oh well. - fbacher - 2009-11-23 Dang! I just spent 8 hours yesterday staring at the skin code trying to figure out how that list was created. I want to disable some of those icons. I'm trying to make a very simple video player for my cognitively challenged brother, so I want to get rid of the "recently added movies/tv" show as well as the playlists and video plugins. - spiff - 2009-11-23 8 hours staring on xml and not even 2 mins reading the wiki, eh. http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=AdvancedSettings.xml#.3Cvideolibrary.3E recently added that is, the others you can only remove by hacking the code. - lozbrown85 - 2009-11-23 Hmmm, is there any chance that an extensible API for this might be regarded as a reasonable feature request? By an "extensible API" I mean some way to add remove items from this page, most probably via some XML configuration. |
