[LINUX] Remote control suggestions - Vitani - 2009-12-03

Hi all,

Is there a list of remote controls which are fully supported by XBMC on Linux anywhere? I've tried searching this forum, the XBMC Wiki and Google with no luck.

Yesterday I bought a cheap unofficial MCE remote which worked by pretending to be a keyboard, which meant some of the keys worked (up/down/left/right/OK/1-9) but most of the helpful ones did not (Play/Stop/FF/RW/My Pictures/etc.).

I'd like something that "just works", or is well documented (I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty, so long as I have a guide). What are you guys using for your Linux XBMC HTPCs?

Having done a little bit more searching (it's amazing how far this rabbit hole you can go!) I found a comment on a story on the main XBMC site about the Hauppauge 00226 which said "Asrock 330 Ion + Linux + Hauppauge 00226 = flawless HD playback and a fully working remote! <3". So I did a little bit more digging and found a post on the forum here confirming that all of the buttons work after installing LIRC!

Woot!
