There are quite a few threads on the subject. What is your source material, your budget, are you specific to running it on a certain os, do you want something prebuilt or build your own?
The asrock 330 and the acer revo are a couple popular prebuilt choices that run xbmc using vpdau very well.

the budget is around 300/400$,
i would prefer something prebuilt,
for the OS no preferences: i'd choose the fastest to boot
