i downloaded the latest release of xbmc today... i'm trying to get xlink kai to work it is succesfully connecting to the kai engine. but i can't set the games directory in the settings. i've tried pressing every button on the controller but i am not getting the keyboard. so when i select xlink kai from the my programs menu it just shows a screen saying "weather xbox medica center 1.10", there are buttons on the left but none of them have text. where does xbmc store all the settings so i can delete any preferences from previous versions and start over. or is there a file i can edit and enter the games directory manually. any help is greatly appreciated.... i stuck here.

another bad build - your skin/language files are out of sync with xbmc, please update all files to the latest present in the cvs.

i tried yesterdays build (11/16) and todays (11/17). i have the same problem with both. a friend of mine is using the 11/16 build, which we both got from the same place and has had no problems. i have whiped out all xbmc files that i know of several times, and put everything back on there. any suggestions?

again.. this is a skin issue. use the project mayhem skin and not project mayhem ii.

unfortunately the kai problem also is the case with the last two "official" builds at the "usual place", namely the xbmc-2004-11-15 and xbmc-2004-11-30 builds ("ind"). for those of us who don't compile xbmc ourselves, we have to wait until the person who compiles these builds realizes the mistake.
