Movie Genre fanart - R-Nol - 2010-10-07 I am new to XBMC, and I just love the Night skin. But I can not figure out how to use the genre fanart. I downloaded genre fanart, named it "genre".jpg (like Action.jpg) and I placed al my files in a folder I created called genrefanart. So the path is: "C:\Program Files\XBMC\addons\skin.night\media\extras\genrefanart\Action.jpg" but it just does not work. Besides, if I change the moviegenres/action.jpg image, the genre icon in XBMC remains the same. Am I forgetting something or doing something wrong? - mcborzu - 2010-10-07 2x check, if you also installed Night via addon Repo, that you don't have a copy in C:\Users\****\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons - R-Nol - 2010-10-07 I did indeed install Night via addon first, but after that I installed via git. Have deleted C:\Users\**\Roaming\XBMC now, but i still don't see any fanart. Thanks for the quick reply, but what shoul I do now? - R-Nol - 2010-10-09 OK, reinstalled everything and now it works great, thnx . But still one little problem, first I added some genre fanart I used before, and now I would like some other images. But although I have changed them in the genrefanart folders, the fanart in XBMC remains the same. Can I refresh the fanart in some way? Thnx for helping. - mcborzu - 2010-10-09 Should just be a simple refresh or restart of the skin or XBMC. Images inside the /media folder do not get chached... - R-Nol - 2010-10-09 Restarted XBMC a few times and als chose another skin and went back to Night again, but still the old images appear. How must I do a refresh? - zwat - 2010-10-09 see if u find texture.db and delete it - mcborzu - 2010-10-10 zwat Wrote:see if u find texture.db and delete it I did 2x check and yes for some reason it does seem to be cached. Delete the userdata\Database\Textures.db will clear that up... - R-Nol - 2010-10-10 Thanx everything is ok now. Looking awesome, loving the skin. Thanx again for your help, would never have found it myself. TV-shows and movies are done and look awesome, now on to setting up my music. |
