How does Night (XBMC) clasify the movies? - KOROR - 2010-11-11

How does Night (XBMC) "deside" whether a movie is an .avi, 720p or 1080p, does it only use the filenaming, or does it actually "test" the movies resolution?

metadata in the file or nfo files

So if i have a .avi movie, which is just named Avatar.mkv, how will Ember/XBMC figure out what quality the movie is?

You really should probably start asking these questions in general help or something.
Scrapers guess based on filenames, nfo files, and other sources of data but I digress
there are other areas of this forum more suited for this kind of question.

p.s. if you have an avi container named Avatar.mkv it's probably not an avi
