i use xbmc 2004-01-02 and i have problem to play playlist that are .m3u

i can see the file and when i try to play the list it gives me a list of the songs in the list but the length of the files is wrong, it shows the files are like 50min and it won't play the file, it just go to next song in the list and nex again, in some kind of loop and nothing happends.. is this a problem in my box or is it a bug?

is it a playlist created by xbmc or from another program ?

maybe there are pathes saved in the playlist, so the files can't be found, try to open it with a texteditor to check.

the .m3u playlists i have is mostly made by winamp.

have to check to see how the playlist looks like in xbmc and in winamp, would be great to be able to play winamp .m3u in xbmc.

this is what i have found out...

xbmc want the whole path to the mp3 songs in the .m3u playlist while the winamp don't write the whole path..
it feels weird to have to write the whole path as sometimes the files are moved and so on.

is there a way to get xbmc to bypass the path thing, i think the winamp .m3u files workes great in xbmp.

you also have to edit the #extinf. winamp seams to ba able to read id3 while xbmc want the filename in the extinf line...

from winamp:
Quote:#extinf:174,the strokes - what ever happened?
01 - what ever happened.mp3

from xbmc:
Quote:#extinf:174,01 - what ever happened.mp3
xns://ip:port/i:\mp3\the strokes - room on fire\01 - what ever happened.mp3
