the web server interface to xmbc seems to be a little buggy or perhaps "configure" and "dashboard" are not implemented? searched for it but didn't find any good topics.

play, pause and stop works every time. but skip back and forward also seems a bit buggy.

very sweet to be able to control xmbc through http though!!!

configure, skip back and forward are not implemented yet. dashboard is and should work

thanks for your reply!

skip back seems to work sometimes while skip forward works rarely.

what is dashboard supposed to do?

i think it will start what you have defined in xboxmediacenter.xml for:

<dashboard>c:\xboxdash.xbe</dashboard>

somebody please correct me if i am wrong.

the web controls seems to work as expected from my pc, as an experiment, i loaded the webpage onto my dell axim pocketpc via wireless lan; the page loads into 4 or 5 different frames (which i can resized if necessary) but i can't seem to "click" on to any of the buttons to launch "my music". i can however click on the play, stop and pause buttons. anyone else have experience w/ pocketpc internet explorer?

this is possibly one of the greatest things in xbmc... good stuff guys!

what does the "q" button do?

is there a way to make a playlist from the web control? how would i go about making a playlist file in xbmc? could i just select that to play a heap of tracks go in sequence..random..whateverHuh

"q" should add files to the temp playlist, but iirc it is not working as of yet.

was that a typo? iirc? whats that?

by the way an embedded html irc client would be nice in the remote webserver there Smile
