ok, this took me a while to narrow it down.
basically, two of us are connecting using xlink (win) engine only. we boot up into xbmc, both with version 4-1-2005. we both see an outline of a white speaker next to each of our names. great. we click voice chat, wait a sec, then we're talking. perfect.
one hosts, one joins. then we play. still good. we can play, talk, everything works.
reboot into xbmc, crash. crash. tripple crash. have to completely shut down xbox. restart xlink. turn xbox back on, then boot into xmbc. it only crashes using xbmc, not using avalaunch or windows ui.
appears to me that xbmc doesn't kill the voice connection apon reboot, and it hangs while it tries to connect again (connect our voices again).
how do we know its xbmc & voice chat?
boot into xbmc, no voice, play (with voice), reboot, go into xbmc again, play more and use voice in the game. no problem.
only with voice inside of xbmc and rebooting crashes xbmc.
anyone have a solution to this?
