I've been using XBMC and Windows 7 from some years and I updated to Frodo and now I can't pass the audio through the Headphones.
I'm using this setup:
Video card connected to TV through HDMI
Headphone connected to PC through front panel
All audio like music or youtube goes through headphones, but XBMC audio goes through the TV.
I tried changing the System Audio settings in XBMC to analog and HDMI, but audio keeps going to the TV.
Could someone give me a solution? Thanks.

Welcome to the forums. Go all the way down on the Audio Output settings page and change the audio device for analog audio to the device your headphones are plugged into.
System: XBMC HTPC with HDMI WASAPI & AudioEngine - Denon AVR-3808CI - Denon DVD-5900 Universal Player - Denon DCM-27 CD-Changer
- Sony BDP-S580 Blu-Ray - X-Box 360 - Android tablet wireless remote - 7.1 Streem/Axiom/Velodyne Surround System
If I have been able to help feel free to add to my reputation +/- below - thanks!

I'm having a similar problem, except that XBMC isn't recognizing the headphones on Windows 8.
I'm on a Lenovo notebook, when I plug the headphone, Windows' sounds switch to the headphones, but XBMC won't change the audio output - nor will anything different show up on Audio output settings.
--edit--
so... if I plugin the headphones, or external speakers, BEFORE running XBMC, it works nicely... but if I plug any of those AFTER running XBMC, no good.

I had the same problem. I changed the output and it worked fine.
