Just recently when I start XBMC 12.2 with MCE backend, the Live TV starts playing automatically. I have made no changes to settings on either the WMC server or XBMC. This only happens on the PC that has the tuners the other computers in the house do not have this issue. How do I get XBMC to not play Live TV on startup, I like to keep as many tuners available for recording as possible?

There is an option in the XBMC System->PVR section to resume playing on startup, I know you said you haven't changed anything but perhaps gremlins are at play? Can you check the XBMC settings and report back?
And just to clarify you mean when you open XBMC, it plays a liveTV stream to the screen and you can see/hear it?

Some how the resume playing on startup was on. Thanks turning that off fixed it.

its actually under settings, INTERFACE, startup, perform on startup, play tv
