Hello, all. I decided to download and test some of the WIP skins on XBMC 13.2 Git:20140817-0f3db05 (Compiled: Aug 17 2014). I tested these skins on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 (SM-T700). Here are the results of my testing:
These skins have full touch support:
These skins have limited touch support:
These skins have no touch support:
More testing required!
After all of my testing, I have found BOX to be the best WIP on my Android tablet.
Update: the criteria for my testing was simple. The skin has to respond to basic touch selections. If I touched a selection and it did not respond, the skin was marked as incompatible. In instances where I could make some selections but other basic functionality was comprised such as being able to scroll through a library, I marked the skin as partially compatible. If a skin is marked as incompatible in 13.2 settings, I was unable to test.
These skins have full touch support:
- Box
- LCARS
- metroTV
These skins have limited touch support:
- Aquatic
- minime (responds to some touches but libraries aren't selectable)
- MYEPi (very laggy, can be unresponsive to touches)
- Unity (responds to touches but scrolling through the library is very laggy, VideoOSD doesn't display on touch)
These skins have no touch support:
- Tube (touching forces loss of focus)
- Welo HD (touching forces loss of focus and causes graphical glitches)
More testing required!
- Gaze (nothing loads on home screen)
- Persona (doesn't load, blank home screen)
- reFred (doesn't load, blank home screen)
