It would be great to devide the channel entries in Live TV list so that it doesn't asks weather you want to change channels or open the guide. So eg a seperate button on the right for the guide and the remaining part changes the channel. Or maybe the logo area could switch directly and the rest works as before......

Hi,
It's possible: go to your device settings and enable the option xbmcRemote > general > direct play mode
If you want the action sheet, while in direct play mode, just tap and hold the item and the options will appear.

works as promised, the only improvement I can think of right now is not to switch to the "Playing Now" screen and just mark the current playing channel in blue. And there would be some space left right below the icons for a pie chart of the current running progress, just like in the "Channel Guide".
And is there a way to update the page without going back and forth so that now and next are current again?
