Hi,

I have only just installed Kodi for the first time so I am completely new to all this, also I am no developer so I am not 100% sure how to change menu options...... but is it possible to develop some software where you are able to simply just add an additional menu or submenu option.... for example, where you have the Weather, Videos, Music, Program and System and so on to simply add more menu options, like Kids Menu, Movies, TV Shows and so on.... and have submenus for those options as well. All the above without having to manually modify the code.

I am not sure but is there anything out there that can do this at the moment.... any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

This is possible in Confluence Custom Mod (CCM) Skin, not really in the regular/default Confluence Skin.

If you are using XBMC Gotham, just download the latest found here: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=160184.

If you are on KODI Helix, you have two options:

1.- Mudislander's CCM Skin for Helix (work in progress, though): http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=212898
2.- Angelina's mod of Mudislander's CCM Skin for Gotham, made to work for Helix: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=...pid1878108

I use (2) at the moment and it works great for me. I have over 10 different Main Menu Items, added and rearranged to my liking. Whenever Mudislander's latest is ready to go I'll switch to it.

In all, CCM is the one you want. You can move around Main Menu Items, add/change/remove them, add more submenu items, and etc. I also suggest installing Super Favourites too (http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=192662) as it is the perfect compliment for a skin such as CCM. You can make Menu/submenus out of just about anything on XBMC/KODI.
