I'm getting at my wits end with this. My profiles appear to just add/remove settings on a whim. I absolutely do not have any strange plugins. From memory, here is my list of plugins.

Emby for Kodi
Nextup
Unpause Jumpback

I was using Kodi 17.6, but was finding that when switching between profiles, Emby would intermittently get authentication issues, and I would need to re-authenticate. So yeah, that sounds like Emby's fault, right? Well, I posted on their forum, and their was another person reporting the same thing. They are still looking into it, but "If I had to guess, it's probably loading the wrong settings/auth info when switching profile." Well, I'd tend to agree, because I've seen this happen on plugins for other apps. Namely my Box skin (the settings for the other apps appear to retain)
See, when there is a single profile, the Box skin works like a champ. But for some reason, with multiple profiles, I'll have settings add/drop at random. I had a week where I kept re-enabling weather on one of my profiles. That was weird. And then I've had several instances where I logged in to a profile and the Box settings for that profile got wiped back to the default. I've had several times where I've restored the Box settings.xml file for a specific profile from a backup, and that didn't do a damn thing. And yes, I'm restoring to the correct location. So it seems like the profile information is being read from the wrong place?
So now I have two apps that appear to be loading the wrong settings/auth when I switch profile. Once there are two apps having a related issue, I have to say it's a system issue rather than an addon issue. However, I admit that an addon issue is possible, as well.
I've tested on both 17.6 and 17.4. I might roll back to 17.0 and test on that version as well. Emby is a bit harder to setup on 16, so I don't want to go back that far. I've done several clean installs. I've tried restoring from backups, and just manually re-downloading all my addons, and these issues keep recurring. I just cannot use profiles in Kodi, apparently.
I'm on a 1st gen FireTV that is rooted, using the x86 arm version for android. I'm currently rolled back to 17.4.
