One of the coolest things back in the day on higher end VCR's, laser disc players and older DVD players was a jog/shuttle dial on the remote. This was awesome if you wanted to play video at an accelerated speed in forward or reverse using the shuttle wheel or even better... checking a scene frame by frame with the jog dial. This could also be done in forward or reverse.
Does anything exist like this for current tech?
I would love to have a remote like this that would work on Kodi running on an Nvidia Shield.

Even it there was  way to make a remote from an old vcr or dvd player work?
I can't believe this is a feature that has died off
