So I have an Android TV box with Kodi 18 (latest from play store) and I wanted to set up retro gaming on it.
I've got myself a controller (Gamelink Genesis style gamepad if it matters) and I've managed to get to a point where I can launch a game. But I find that pressing any button on the gamepad in-game will just open the Kodi context menu. So I figured ok, clearly I've got to map the controller buttons before launching a game.
Thing is, I can't seem to map the controller. The gamepad appears in the settings and I can reach the controller-mapping window, click the first button and assign it to something. It them moves on to the next button, but no matter what I press on the gamepad at that point it just times out.
I don't really know where to go from here to explore this futher, hence this post!
