Linux Video Stuttering
#1
Hi All

I have been running LibreElec for some time now, and most recently updated to the latest v9 release (Kodi 18)

I am still having video stuttering issues

Intel NUC N3700, 4gb ram, 65gb SSD - Playin gMKV files from a Synology NAS, all connected at 1Gbit.
NUC connects to Yamaha RX-A2050 Receiver and in turn Epson TW6700 PJ.

It seems more the background picture, if it moves fast i can see a shudder/stutter effect.

Appreciate your assistance?

thanks.

To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log.

The instructions are here... debug log (wiki)

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.Restart Kodi
3.Replicate the problem.
4.Upload the log to Kodi Paste Site manually or use the Kodi Logfile Uploader. (wiki) With either method post the link to the log back here.

If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file (wiki)

In both instances, you should see the word DEBUG throughout the log.

Note: Full logs only. No partial or redacted logs
Do NOT post your logs directly into the forum. Use the Kodi Paste Site. Post the link to your pasted log in the forum

If this is one of the stuttering videos, then you may have a problem. Did you convert this one from an mp4 file?

If not, which video in your log file is stuttering?

Stuttering can also be caused by "interrupt storms", caused by faulty HDMI connector on either end of the cable or cable itself.

It is most likely the known issue with Intel & VAAPI is it not?

https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread/14614-.../?pageNo=1

Which, in theory should be fixed in the imminent 18.2 based next release of libreelec...
Addons I wrote &/or maintain:
OzWeather (Australian BOM weather) | Check Previous Episode | Playback Resumer | Unpause Jumpback | XSqueezeDisplay | (Legacy - XSqueeze & XZen)
Sorry, no help w/out a *full debug log*.

Hi - I am facing the same problem. Here is happens when I stream video from a https source. It only happens on the Kodi versions 18.1 and 18.2 on SHield TV and Xiami Mi Box S. The problem does not happen when I run Kodi 18.1 or 18.2 in my phone (OnePlus 6 running Android 9) or when I run Kodi 18.0 in Shield TV and Xiaomi Mi Box S.

Log information: There at least more 3 or 4 users that has reported the same problem in another topic

Let me know in case of anything else you need in order to help me out here

Thanks
