Hello, I can not make my Auro 3D music work with Kodi. While it works perfectly with my platinum Bluray. I have an ISO of this same Bluray Auro3D but Kodi sends DTS-HD. Is Kodi unable to read the Auro3D ?

Thanks

No replies probably because it seems to be a niche format, first time I've seen it mentioned on this forum.

@fritsch any idea if ffmpeg supports this? seems to be an object audio format (similar to Atmos) that can be embedded into PCM streams.

No idea to be honest. I did not follow recent ffmpeg audio format discussions.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Do you know where I could get closer to hoping for support?

Just seen this https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid2871795 which suggests it's possible. Perhaps it's a limitation or Odroid N2 or CoreELEC, so maybe you should ask on their forum.

Not sure why no one answered to your question on CoreELEC forum. The answer is right there in post 1: https://discourse.coreelec.org/t/odroid-...uilds/4560

There is no LPCM support on N2, therefore no Auro 3D!

Edit: Sorry, should have clarified that this applies only if Auro3D on the disc is in PCM format. If it is DTS-HD MA, then it could be that the bitstream is not really bit perfect.

Auro3D requires HDMI pass through and decoding by an AVR that supports Auro decoding. Like Atmos

I’ve only one Auro3D title. Looking at the ripped version it only shows the DTS-HDMA codec in MediaInfo. This was made by MakeMKV years ago. It’s possible I didn’t select the Auro track.

I will try and find the original disc packed away in boxes in my garage, rip again with latest MakeMKV and try on my Intel NUC8 with LE 9.2 ASAP.
