Error in handling z:\ drive
#1
I have a mapped network drive in Windows XP that maps from a partition on a NAS to z:\ in windows.

When attempting to access files on this drive from within XMBC the Z:\ drive seems to me mapped by default to C:\Documents and Settings\sabbott\Application Data\XBMC\cache. This means that it is not possible to access files on the mapped drive at z:\

Solution, re-mapped the drive to x:\ which then works fine.

Not sure why this happens. The drive has the name "Media" in Windows but only causes confusion when it has the drive letter z:\.

Z: is the temporary drive in xbmc.. so xbmc mounts your temporary dir to Z:

These are legacies from the old xbox days. q:, t:,p:,z: and u: are mapped internally and rewriting it would cost a lot of effort which might happen a little later.
