I have a PC with all my movie shares running Vista Ultimate 64bit.... I have been playing with XBMC for awhile now on a laptop running WinXP Pro hooked up to my Tv and decided to go all out an build a dedicated HTPC...
Anyway I have Vista Ultimate 32bit on my new HTPC, installed the latest XBMC and when I try to add a video source and browse for network shares I get an error with a long number (I'm at work right now and don't have the number available) and basically I can't see any shares/PC's on the network.... even if I punch them in by ip address... Windows can see out and connect on the net fine.
This all happened right before I had to go to work so I didn't get too much time to mess with it but after playing with XBMC on a few Pc's at work and other places I have never had that same problem pop-up.... But then again its the first time I installed XBMC on a Vista box and trying to connect to another Vista box... XP to Vista works great... but I just wanted to see if there are any Vista bugs I should be weary about in terms of seeing network shares...
Keep up the good work devs... this product has come a long way since my first modded Xbox back in the day After years of saying "one day" I finally have the motivation to rip all my dvd's...
