Ethernet Connection to a ubuntu laptop and android TV box
#1
I am a newbie to Kodi. I set up a latop as my server and aan android TV Box (Pendoo Pro X6) as a client. I am able to link them via a wifi router. However the speed is not fast and there is a lot of buffering. When I tried to connect it through a router I am unable to see the server from the client Kodi. Can anyone explain the setup. TIA

Right... Ubuntu as a server. Using which file protocol? SMB or NFS? it's shouldn't matter speedwise, but SMB has undergone a bit of a transformation the last 1.5 years. Not seeing the server could be because of the difference in SMB versions used by server and client.

Also, I didn't see a UTP port on the Pendoo box. If so, use it. Sometimes with wifi, a 2.4Ghz connection can give better results than the 5Ghz connection.
