FanArt cached at very low resolution just as any movie cover or album art?

Question
Hi,

I installed the latest XBMC for Windows on my new HTPC, scanned everything to the library and found most of the Season Thumbs/DVD Covers/Posters/Previews/... extremely pixelated (e.g. upscaled from a very, very small image) with a lot of compression artefacts. For example:

http://thetvdb.com/banners/_cache/seasons/246-5.jpg
It looks ok now on my computer, the size is 300 by 433 pixels. My TVs resolution is 1360 by 768 pixels, so it should be large enough to display at 50% of my screen without any quality loss. But now it takes up at about 20% of my screens height and it looks awful Sad

Any idea?

See this part of the wiki

http://www.xbmc.org/wiki/?title=Advanced...umbsize.3E

and remember you need to delete /userdata/thumbnails/video to force XBMC to recache.

what kind of "memory issues" are you referring to? you should be ok with the windows version. the xbox version, on the other hand, is really limited by the xbox's 64M of memory.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.

that was just a thought because in media stream, the "media preview" in movies became a little laggy now ... but that might be caused by something else though. i think i'm just still a little too much of an xbox user^^
