Hey all, I am using wide icons for some of my TV shows, but i need to re cache the icons cause some of them were the wrong ones for the wrong seasons. I now have all the proper art work as .tbn file were they need to be, but XBMC wont re cache the new artwork. how do i get XBMC to re cache the new art? And Yes I am new to the XBMC!

I believe you got to your XBMC folder, for me it's E:/Apps/ XBMC, don't know about you. Go to UserData - Thumbnails folder, i think there is a folder called TV. Delete that. You may also have to got to UserData - Database and delete the videosdb. Rescan you TV shows, making sure they are named correctly first. You will also have to re-scan your movies though. I don't have my system in front of me, just going by memory, so someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Also, try XBMC Media Companion to save all your info locally.

Oh, crap, I didn't notice I was in the xbmc for windows section. I was referring to xbox. Check that folder tho. I'm not sure if the file structure is the same way or not. But I would think it is.

yeah, i should've mentioned that. the installer runs in platform mode which puts the folders in a user specific directory.
what do you mean by "Ill try to remove, update then, re move them back" ?
maybe i wasnt clear. there's three options:
1) remove the offending shows from the database using "remove" from context menu, then update library.
2) remove the cached icons from the video thumbnail folder. this is a pain in the butt. there are 16 folders you need to look through, and all the filenames are hex crc's.
3) move the tvshow folder outside of your "source", update, move the tvshow folder back to your "source" and update again. the first update will remove the items as they are no longer accessible. and the second update will restore them. its like #1, but easier to do if you have alot of shows that need to be updated.
but i really recommend the move, update, move, update procedure. it is the easiest.

simple. "xbmc.exe -p". but that's the default if you used the installer.
