NFO template for single IP video collection with multiple files?
#1
Hello,

Would anyone have a simple example or template of an NFO file for a compilation of videos to be aggregated in to a single movie?  For example, a movie, a few production BTS videos, a press video, some stunt sessions, etc.?  If anyone has any sort of NFO of a movie that has multiple video segments, I could work off the example.

Is it possible to create this with a single NFO, or would it require separate ones for each file?  Appreciate any assistance.

Thanks!,

Jake

But you cannot have multiple nfo files for a single movie. Nor can you point an nfo file to a chapter in a movie. It is a single nfo per movie.

You will need separate nfo files per file. But this will display as separate items in the library.

Thanks for the reply.  I reviewed these templates.  It seems that I would have to take the same approach as compiling episodes of a TV series, correct?  Each content segment would require its own individual NFO file subordinate to the title NFO.  Is that correct?  Ideally, I would like a single tile displayed with the keyart.  The underlying segments would be available upon selecting that main title.  By the way, the Kodi feature, "Manage movie set"... Is there a way this feature could be used to bundle the various film segments, so that they would run upon selecting the title?  They do not need to run in any order either, but some are in specific classifications, such as "Focus Group Testimonial 1" "Focus Group Testimonial 2" etc.

Thanks

Yes, if you want to scrape (what we term) Extras (wiki) into the library, and link it with the main movie then you will need to use TV Shows instead. Or use Movie Sets as you mentioned.

Yes, TV Shows will do this.

Or a Movie Set. Add all your video files to the movie set and enable settings 3.3 and 3.4... https://kodi.wiki/view/Settings/Media/Vi...movie_sets

Setting 1.1... https://kodi.wiki/view/Settings/Player/V...omatically

You can also use Playlists (wiki) but not sure if that is suited to what you are after.
