Hi!

 I'm wondering if there is a way I can set at what timestamp Kodi exctracts the automatic video thumbnails?

The reason is that for example today Kodi extracted a video thumbnail from a UFC event at about 60 min in .. spoiling a fight result.

I figure there might be a way to set at what time in a video Kodi extracts the thumbnail? Possibly in advancedsettings.xml?

No, I don't think you can. Though plucking an image from 60 minutes into the file is a bit unusual.

Is this a thumbnail used for an episode image in TV Shows? Why not add an image at the same time you add the video file? Maybe an official image from UFC website? This should overcome the spoilers.

I can use a default jpg that I name the same as the UFC event, but since I run Kodi in Ubuntu on a separate PC, playing the videos from a NAS, that is lot of manual work doing it for every sport video

Was hoping for a setting similar to the ones for Resume points where i can specify them .. but anyhow if it can't be done I'll just squint when browsing to the video and pressing play
